Exercise 5
Pattern Recognition
Discerning How God Speaks to You
Instructions
Reflect on your past experiences with God.
Do not overanalyze. Do not try to force an answer.
Instead, look for patterns. Ask: How has God consistently communicated with me over time?
Key Insight

Reflection 3 — Clarity vs. Confusion
When have you been most confident that God was speaking?
What characterized those moments?
Reflection 4 — Missed or Misread
Where might you have ignored, misunderstood, or overridden what God was saying?
Personal Insight
Based on what you see… How does God most often get your attention?
Application
What would it look like to become more attentive to these patterns?
Reminder
God is not silent. He is often consistent.
The more you recognize His patterns, the more clearly you will discern His voice.
